In the Community

S.A. Comunale is deeply invested in the communities in which our teams work and live. Through volunteerism, advocacy, and financial and in-kind donations, we support a variety of causes, including youth sports, children’s hospitals, first responder organizations, student organizations, and more.

The “Can Do Crew”

Whether at the individual level, with a team of their peers, or through an organization-wide initiative, you’ll find S.A. Comunale employees engaging with various charitable causes, community outreach programs, and other philanthropic activities.

We take enormous pride in seeing this work and believe it is our responsibility to engage with our local community. S.A. Comunale’s Can Do Attitude bleeds into these efforts, reflecting our company's core values and championing those who are making a positive difference in our neighborhoods.

Highlights of Our Work

Fire Safety Week

Through our work, we are constant advocates of fire safety and take extra efforts during Fire Safety Week to spread important lessons to our community. Most recently, we donated over 100 fire safety coloring books and crayons promoting basic fire safety and awareness to the Wadsworth Local School District.

United Way

We are frequent and proud supporters of United Way. Recently, our Human Resource team organized two efforts across northeast Ohio: one for a Stuff the Bus campaign during back-to-school season and the other for the Adopt a Family campaign during the winter holidays.

Pink Hard Hat Day

This annual event emphasizes the importance of breast cancer advocacy and awareness each October. Our team wears custom pink hard hats, helping to spread an important message as they work. EMCOR Group companies across the country participate in this unique event, which underlines the importance of early screening and detection.

Comunale Cancer Foundation

Founded after the loss of Stephen A. Comunale, Jr., the Foundation provides financial grants to those affected by cancer, as well as partner programming through local wrap-around service organizations and hospital systems. While the Foundation operates separately from S.A. Comunale, our employees have deep ties to this important cause. They regularly support the Foundation, hosting annual fundraising cookouts and raffles, organizing a softball league, and more.

These initiatives are only a small sample of the many ways our team demonstrates its commitment to helping its communities flourish.
