David oversees the safety culture at S.A. Comunale. He’s responsible for helping develop, implement, and supervise safety programs to promote compliance and workplace safety.
He brings extensive knowledge and experience with fall protection, confined space entry, HAZWOPER operations, excavation and trenching safety, forklift and aerial lift operations, and electrical safety.
Expertise
Over his roughly three-decade career, David has worked in several market sectors of the construction industry, including commercial, industrial, healthcare, and retail, as a Carpenter, Foreman, and General Foreman. He also spent six years teaching at the Carpenters’ JATC in Richfield, OH, before assuming the role of Safety Director for a Cleveland-based general contractor. He joined S.A. Comunale in 2025 as Safety Director.
David graduated from Ohio University with a bachelor’s degree in management and from the University of Central Missouri with a master’s degree in career and technical education. Currently, he’s working on a post-graduate educational specialist degree in career and technical education leadership. He is also a UBC Carpenter (Local 435) and Certified Safety Professional.

A native of northeast Ohio, David enjoys spending free time with his two wonderful children.
